Industrial Machine Service Technician
Travel Across North America | Advanced Manufacturing Equipment
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machine Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC metal fabrication and advanced manufacturing equipment at customer locations throughout North America. This position is ideal for someone with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving problems in the field, working independently, and supporting customers directly. The right candidate will be comfortable traveling extensively, working hands-on with industrial equipment, and serving as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to customer sites throughout North America (up to 75%)Â
- Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot CNC machines, fiber lasers, press brakes, and related manufacturing equipmentÂ
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion-control systemsÂ
- Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, and industrial communication networksÂ
- Program and configure PLCs, VFDs, servos, and HMIs as neededÂ
- Install, calibrate, test, and repair electronic and control-system componentsÂ
- Train customers on machine operation, safety procedures, and routine maintenanceÂ
- Document service work performed, machine conditions, and recommended improvementsÂ
- Interpret and update electrical schematics, technical drawings, and service documentationÂ
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installationsÂ
- Serve as the on-site technical representative and coordinate with OEM partners when neededÂ
- Perform all work safely and in compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and company standardsÂ
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience servicing CNC or industrial manufacturing equipmentÂ
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsÂ
- Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, and industrial controlsÂ
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawingsÂ
- Experience using precision measuring tools and electronic test equipmentÂ
- Strong customer-service and communication skillsÂ
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in the fieldÂ
- Comfortable traveling extensively throughout North AmericaÂ
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in industrial environmentsÂ
- Forklift experience and familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment preferredÂ
- CNC tube bending and/or CNC fiber laser experience is a plus
