The Department of Internal Medicine seeks a detail-oriented and analytical Temporary Financial Specialist to support a variety of financial and accounting functions within our department. This role is responsible for assisting with financial operations, reporting, reconciliation, budgeting support, and compliance-related activities in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records and process accounts payable and receivable transactions Â
- Research and resolve financial discrepancies and assist with account collectionsÂ
- Provide guidance regarding allowable expenditures and financial proceduresÂ
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisÂ
- Monitor and reconcile revenues, expenditures, and other financial activityÂ
- Support grant and contract administration, including compliance reviewÂ
- Compile and analyze financial and statistical data to support operational and strategic decision-makingÂ
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and regulationsÂ
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable and/or other related financial operationsÂ
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a professional office environmentÂ
- High School Diploma
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial/accounting systems preferredÂ
