The Inpatient Supervisor is a trusted leader who supports our mission by partnering closely with care teams across multiple inpatient units to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. This night-shift role offers the opportunity to collaborate, think big-picture, and make thoughtful decisions that support both patients and staff. This position is responsible for mobilizing staff to ensure safe patient care in all areas. Working 6 pm to 6 am with flexibility to meet department needs, this position typically schedules 36 to 40 hours per week and plays a vital role in keeping teams connected and supported overnight.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Â
• Lead and coordinate each child’s care plan, working closely with the care team, the child, and their family to support meaningful outcomes
• Make sure clinical care is delivered safely, consistently, and in line with best practices and ChildServe guidelines
• Ensure the right staff are in place by supporting scheduling, supervision, and ongoing performance feedback
•  Respond to questions or concerns from families, staff, and partners with professionalism and care
•  Build strong relationships and encourage open communication across teams
•  Serve as on call support for medical group homes when needed
•  Support staff growth, engagement, and job satisfaction to promote long term retention
•  Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve care, workflows, and team effectiveness

What You’ll Need
Â
•  Licensure to practice as an RN in the State of Iowa
•  Preferred: 5 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.
•  Preferred: Specialty nursing certifications (CPN, CBIS, CRRN)
•  Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
•  Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
•  Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language.
