The Inpatient Services Specialist I provides administrative and operational support to Inpatient Services, data accuracy, process improvement, scheduling systems and operations as well as primary coordinator for onboarding and education support for new hires. 

  

Schedule/Benefits 

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, general business hours with holiday rotation and infrequent weekends based on service needs.  
  • Benefit eligible, including medical, dental, vision plans, retirement with company match and generous PTO accrual, including 16 hours of PTO front-loaded
      

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Support Inpatient Services leadership with administrative and operational tasks. 
  • Assist with projects, documentation, communications, and compliance tracking. 
  • Maintain staff training, certification, and compliance records. 
  • Participate in workflow improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Maintain data accuracy across operational systems. 
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations. 
  • Support workforce, onboarding, training, and compliance reporting. 
  • Assist leaders with data analysis and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent interruptions. 
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in changing situations. 
  • Perform light physical activities including bending, reaching, and lifting. 
  • Work onsite with reliable attendance. 
  • Travel within Iowa for business-related events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need 

  • 1 year of experience in a customer service role required. 
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare or administrative position preferred. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Ability to work independently with basic verbal and written instructional guidance from others. 
  • Maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population. 
  • Demonstrate proficient organizational and time management skills with developed problem-solving skills and decision-making, and ability to prioritize multiple demands. 
  • Ability to work effectively, accurately, and efficiently under multiple demands and frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to accept and initiate change, have patience and understanding, and work within a team environment. 
  • Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients, staff, their families, and ChildServe business. 
  • Work with and safely dispose of hazardous materials including items with potential blood borne pathogens and cleaning supplies/chemicals. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and the ability to proficiently learn new software programs. 
  • Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
