Engineering Technician - Environmental

The EADS Group in Johnstown, PA is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Engineering Technician – with an emphasis on Environmental field work to join our multi-disciplined engineering firm! This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors, learning technical skills, and supporting civil engineering and survey projects. This is a strong opportunity to gain hands-on environmental and civil engineering field experience while contributing to meaningful projects.

In this full-time entry-level Environmental Engineering Technician role, you will

  • Assist with field investigations, inspections, and data collection.
  • Prepare design deliverables, permit application packages, report preparation, and data analysis, and compliance-related project tasks.
  • Support municipal, utility, site development, and environmental projects.
  • Assist engineering staff with project documents, reports, field notes, and technical data

 

A qualified candidate will have strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical field procedures and the ability to comfortably work outdoors in varying weather conditions. This role also requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform moderate lifting during field assignments, and a willingness to work closely with engineering project teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary trade or technical school training in environmental technology, environmental science, engineering technology, civil engineering technology, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Previous environmental field work, inspection, construction observation, or compliance-related experience.
  • Experience with environmental site assessments, permit support, field documentation, or data collection.
  • Familiarity with engineering, environmental, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or related software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
