Position Summary:

MJ Daniels is actively seeking a skilled and dependable Brake Press Operator to join our growing team in Johnstown, PA. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work and can operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with CNC press brakes and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual press brakes to bend and form metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders with a high degree of accuracy
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
Make real-time machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and production efficiency
Work with a variety of materials and thicknesses in a fabrication environment
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications:

2+ years of brake press experience preferred, with strong emphasis on CNC equipment
Experience in sheet metal fabrication environments strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards
Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
