Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Sitter provides direct patient observation and contributes to the planning of care through effective communication with the RN and other members of the patient care team. This role is especially important for medical patients requiring close supervision due to behavioral health concerns or other safety needs.
