More about our team 

Neonatal critical care unit consisting of RNs, clinical associate, and advanced providers.  Providing care, during a 12 hour shift, using critical thinking skills and  collaboration with other team members

 

How you’ll contribute 

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Maintains competency in all procedures pertaining to neonates (i.e. assisting with intubation, maintenance of arterial/central lines, nursing care of ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, emergency placement of umbilical venous catheter, arterial sticks-where applicable)
  • Assumes responsibility for IV starts and maintenance. Administration of Blood and Blood products.
  • Supports Department’s Developmental Care Protocols (i.e. Kangaroo Care, Infant Massage, Car Seat and Safety Program, and Family CPR, Safe Sleep)
  • Participates in Neonatal transports (ground/air), high-risk deliveries, and C-Sections.
  • Maintains competency in Neonatal Resuscitation.
  • Coordinates activities in code situation according to protocol/policy.
  • Provides in-house supportive care to departments as needed. 
  • Provides coverage to sister unit as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in community outreach programs.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Active Pennsylvania RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, the license must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

  • One year of hospital and/or neonatal experience preferred

  • Certification - NAACOG; Neonatal Resuscitation Certification. Preferred 

  • Current CPR.
