We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping students reach their fullest potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
In this role, you will design and deliver individualized instruction that meets the unique strengths and challenges of each learner. You’ll collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote measurable growth and independence. By fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment, you will empower students to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and thrive in their learning journey.
The ideal candidate is an advocate for exceptional learners who embraces collaboration, creativity, and compassion. You will implement proactive behavioral supports, model positive classroom strategies, and contribute to a school culture that values every child’s success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Prior experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is preferred.
