The Nurse Manager utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Responsibilities include managing center functions and medical services, providing nursing care, overseeing the development of staff nurses and volunteers, and building and maintaining relationships with the community, Health Department, school nurses, and other appropriate medical facilities. A current registered nursing license in the state of Illinois is required. We are looking for a full-time employee working 32-36 hours per week.  


Living Alternatives will provide ultrasound training for the hired Nurse Manager in order to equip them with the limited ultrasound scanning skills needed. This skill is not easily picked up by every medical professional, but we are willing to explore this possibility with you before a hiring decision is made.


Summary: The Nurse Manager utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the practice of nursing. They provide management, nursing care, and staff development within their local center.  Develops community relationships and invests in their personal growth and development.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. 

Licensure/certification: Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Illinois. CPR/BBP certifications (will provide training). 

Experience: No experience necessary, new grads welcome.

  2. Exhibits a strong commitment and dedication to the Gospel and to the sanctity of human life, affirming life and never referring or advising a woman to have an abortion.
  3. Display a readiness and willingness to share the Gospel in word and deed, engaging in spiritual conversations and discipleship opportunities.
  4. Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement and direction for staff, volunteers and clients.
  5. Agree with and uphold the LAPRC Mission, as well as all corporate statements and policies of LAPRC.
  6. Proficient use of computers and software to complete tasks.
  7. Self-motivated; ability to carry out responsibilities independently.
  8. Demonstrate the corporate values of Faith, Integrity, Excellence, Respect, and Compassion.
  9. Exhibits leadership skills, as well as skills in relationship building and written communication.
  10. Demonstrates dependability, stability, and capability by following through on commitments.
  11. Demonstrates a sincere desire to reach out to at-risk women.
  12. Respects and protects patient confidentiality and information.
  13. Licensure: Holds a current registered professional nursing license in good standing with the Illinois or Indiana Board of Nursing.
  14. Skill: Ability to become proficient in limited obstetrical ultrasound upon completion of training.
  15. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required.


The essential functions of the job include direct patient care, the management of the medical excellence of the center, and the development and support of a team.
