Job Description
Title: Opioid Response Statewide Projects Specialist
Unit: Administration
Salary Range: $55,000.00+/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Opioid Response Statewide Project Specialist (“Specialist”) for our opioid abatement efforts through coordinated work with the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Board (“Board”).
Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Opioid Response and Grants Coordinator, the Specialist is responsible for Statewide Opioid Abatement Project (“Projects”) administration as well as fiscal management to include budgeting, accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and all other aspects of Projects developed by the Attorney General’s office. The Specialist will work collaboratively with other state agencies, experts, and consultants to implement Projects and provide guidance and resources as needed to achieve successful outcomes. Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Prepare and submit Projects progress reports and quarterly expenditure reports;
· Maintain project ledgers, and all other financial requirements for project programs;
· Receive, review, and process requests for funds from project partners;
· Review and process expense requests, invoices, and other fiscal documents for payment concerning the projects;
Draft, review, analyze, and provide guidance, information, recommendations, and technical assistance relating to the Projects;
Provide engagement, awareness, and technical assistance to Project’s partner organizations and/or other stakeholders relating to the Project’s work, prior to, during, and following disbursement of funds;
Serve as a liaison to the Opioid Response and Grants Coordinator and partnership organizations that have received funding for a statewide opioid abatement project;
Support the OAG in monitoring and overseeing Projects, including developing forms for reporting, reviewing submitted reports, and monitoring budgets and expenditures for compliance with statutory and settlement requirements;
Conduct data analysis by using measurement and analytical tools to track and report outcomes on the impact of the Projects;
Develop and execute presentations and conduct outreach activities to a variety of public and private groups and organizations relating to the Grants;
Prepare special reports, projects, agency displays and exhibits, including but not limited to updated status and progress reports of the Projects;
Respond to requests for information from interested parties, and;
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a combination of experience and education in project management, accounting, finance, grant management, or closely related field necessary to fulfill the responsibilities and expectations of the job description. Applicants must have the ability to prepare, review and analyze financial reports. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge and experience in government accounting procedures.
