The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to hire a Radiology Technologist to join their growing Radiology Team.
In this role, under the direction of the Radiology Director and Medical Staff, you are required to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures to support patient care, maintain imaging equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and complete required documentation, reports, and patient records.
What You’ll Do
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Verify, prepare, position, and transport patients for imaging procedures
- Accurately identify and document patient images
- Assess and provide age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan per departmental policy
- Maintain radiology supplies and notify the Director of replenishment needs
- Clean and maintain equipment using proper sterile and infection control practices
- Assist with preventive maintenance and report equipment issues to the Director
- Maintain patient records, reports and statistics
- Processes electronic charges for completed procedures
- Scan reports into PACS and demonstrate proficiency in its use
- Consult and collaborate with the Director, Medical Staff, and Radiologist as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
- Adhere to Healthcare System safety policies and guidelines
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program preferred
- Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required
- Knowledge of radiologic equipment and strong communication skills
- One year of experience as a registered technologist preferred
- Current CPR certification required
Preferred Skills & Training
- Training or experience in CT, Bone Density, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, and MRI preferred
- Proficiency with PACS, digital imaging systems, ECGs, image management, report processing, and exam scheduling
- Ability to perform the physical demands of patient care, including standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting
- Knowledge of exam and diagnostic coding preferred
