Fork Lift Driver II- 2nd shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and other items safely and efficiently throughout the peanut processing facility. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate has experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, Load, and unload materials.
• Transport raw peanuts, finished products, and packaging materials between storage and production areas.
• Ensure the safe and efficient stacking and storage of materials in designated areas.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and forklift operating procedures.
• Assist with inventory management by scanning, labeling, and recording material movements.
• Support warehouse and production teams in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or material shortages to the supervisor.
• Adhere to food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid forklift operator certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
• Fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
• Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
