Position Summary
The Building Maintenance Technician cares for the Company’s commercial properties. This is achieved through preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of the physical structures and operating systems of commercial facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs a wide range of tasks for general building upkeep and repair such as painting, landscaping, carpentry, and maintenance activities
- Performs safety checks throughout the facility, maintains warranties on equipment, and schedules or performs preventative maintenance
- Conducts routine facility inspections and identifies maintenance, safety, and facility improvement needs
- Assists with obtaining quotes, coordinating contractors, and monitoring completion of facility repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects to keep buildings in proper working condition
- Serves as a point of contact for vendors performing work at Company facilities
- Provides regular communication and documentation to stakeholders on activity status and work performance
- After hours and weekend call required on occasion to assist with security and facility response activities
- Supports facility maintenance, inspections, and improvement projects across all Company markets with regional travel required, as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in the use of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent time management skills required
- Ability to communicate effectively with task stakeholders across the company
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Works outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with medium to high noise levels
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit in a vehicle
- Occasionally required to climb, lift, pull, and push objects up to 60 pounds
