BHAT – Behavioral Health Assessment Team provides Psychiatry consulting services on a full-time basis

What You'll Do
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner will provide timely, nonjudgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. This will include a forensic exam, disease prophylaxis, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow up, support and participation in legal proceedings. The SANE is expected to follow protocols established by Freeman Health System and the SANE Committee.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years nursing experience
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
Successful completion of a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) adult/adolescent education program which meets International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) education guidelines or successful completion of a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) adult/adolescent education program within 6 months of hire. Once started, nurses taking the IAFN online training course must complete the online training course within 12 weeks.
