About Us - Cardiology Unit
Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West
Cardiology is a fast-paced, high-energy, procedurally driven unit caring for patients with cardiac or vascular ailments
45-bed unit focused on  anything and everything HEART!Â
Bedside care is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, New Graduate Nurses, Unit Techs and Unit Secretaries
What You’ll Do
In Conjunction With The Medical Plan Of Care, Independently Performs Systematic And Continuous Assessment Of The Physical, Emotional, Clinical, And Psychosocial Needs Of Assigned Patients And Families; Plans And Implements Appropriate Interventions; And Evaluates Effectiveness And Adjusts Plan As Indicated In A Timely Manner In The Provision Of Safe And Effective Care.
Requirements:
•Current Missouri Registered Nurse License Or Current Registered Nurse License From A Compact State. If A Compact License Is Held, It Must Be In The Nurse's State Of Residence.
•Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) Within 180 Days
•If No Experience As An Rn Or LPN In A Hospital Setting Or It Has Been More Than 5 Years Since Last Worked In A Hospital Setting, Nurses Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) Within 30 Days.
•AHA ACLS Within 120 Days.
•AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 30 Days.
•Cardiovascular Disease CEU Hours - 8 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Date.
•NIH Stroke Scale Certification Within 120 Days.
•Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) Within 180 Days.
•RN Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due Date.
•Stroke CEU Hours - 4 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Date.
