About Us - Operating Room

• Freeman Health System’s main operating room has nine surgical suites and offers a variety of specialties including gynecology, ear, nose and throat, orthopedics, cosmetic and neurosurgery

• In this fast paced procedural area, the staff uses their experience, knowledge and skills to work as a team to take patient care to the next level of patient safety and satisfaction

• We offer an in-depth individualized orientation process to prepare employees for success in the perioperative setting

What You’ll Do 

Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.

Requirements 

• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.

• Currently enrolled in RN or LPN nursing program and have successfully completed first semester of nursing courses.

• If a CNA license was held prior to starting nursing program, the employee may be considered for a Student Assistant program.

• Perioperative NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
