About the Role:
Hill Top Winery is looking for a passionate and personable server to join our team in the beautiful Valley Center, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your love of wine with guests while working in a stunning winery setting. If you thrive in a hospitality environment and enjoy creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you! Approximately 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests to the tasting room, ensuring a warm and inviting experience
- Guide guests through wine tastings, flights, and pairings with knowledgeable and engaging conversation
- Take and fulfill food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bar, and service areas
- Educate guests on wine varietals, the winemaking process, and current wine club offerings
- Process transactions and handle point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Support wine club membership sales and special events as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a winery, tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred
- Passion for wine and eagerness to expand knowledge of viticulture and enology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events
- RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification or willingness to obtain
- California food handler's permit or willingness to obtain
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
