Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time Patrol in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to travelers, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of Airport Security Experience
• 21+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned airport facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and perimeter gates; verify credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
