With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are seeking an individual who can perform the physical task of loading and operating industrial washing machines.   Job Type: Full Time Pay $16.00   per hour Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Reports to: Executive Housekeeper Shifts: Typically are 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 12:00 am As a Washperson, you will operate industrial laundry machinery, fold and sort linens and towels. Responsibilities include: Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent. Wash according to Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort standards. Sort dried articles according to identification number or type, Fold and place items in appropriate storage bins. Sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists. Pre-treat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures. Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours. Must be able to learn and retain a working knowledge of all MSDS/chemicals Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Personal Skills Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures. Attend required meetings. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listens to others. Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers. Must have good computer skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift. Average lifting of 20 to 50 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing Pushing and pulling of approximately 200 pounds.
