Baguettes, Bagels, Brownies – Oh My!

We’re looking for a quality-minded dessert lover to ensure the integrity of our Bakery operations, build a small team of Associates and focus on outstanding execution of department operations. Working with the Bakery Manager, you will help create an exceptional customer experience and support a successful, sustainable department, taking ownership and making decisions that will have a genuine impact on store success and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include:

  •  Assisting the Bakery Manager in running a smooth and efficient operation

  • Ordering, displaying and maintaining inventory for items sold in the Bakery

  •  Helping to train, develop and motivate Associates and build a strong, cohesive team

  •  Maintaining a clean and sanitary department and adhering to proper food-handling procedures

  •  Providing friendly, amazing service to every customer

What you need to succeed:

  • 2+ years of food-service experience (bakery, restaurant or quick serve), preferably in a supervisory role

  • Business acumen and excellent time management skills

  • A thorough understanding of and commitment to food safety

  • Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (refrigerator and freezer)

  • Strong attention to detail, business acumen, self-motivation and the ability to work independently

  • The flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays

 

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting & Carrying - Up to 35 lbs. occasionally

  • Pushing & Pulling- Up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally

  • Occasional - sit, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, overhead reach, & power grip

  • Frequent - stand, walk, head turn, handling, side reach, & pinch

  • Constant -forward reach, grasp, finger manipulation, & feel
