Job DetailsJob Location: Kalispell, MT 59901Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 - $27.00 HourlyJob Shift: AnyPosition Purpose  The primary purpose of this position is to perform day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department, to ensure that The Retreat is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of residents.    Expectations of Excellence Understand and support the core values, mission, philosophy, and guiding principles of Immanuel Living. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures. Collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas. Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment. Sort and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures. Press/iron garments, as instructed. Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to residents on a daily basis and/or as instructed. Dispose of all infectious waste in the proper manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervision / Leadership Serve as a role model for the Immanuel Spirit. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   Decision Making This position may make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Decisions, final recommendations, and/or errors made by the incumbent may affect guests/residents and other staff in the unit/department that this position is assigned to but may, on occasion, affect all staff of Immanuel Living.  Job duties typically involve frequently changing conditions and problems, requiring considerable judgment in applying factual background and fundamental principles to the development of approaches and techniques for the solution of problems. This position cannot authorize exceptions to Corporate policy or procedure. Documentation Complete documentation required by the Environmental Services department and regulatory agencies. Communication Effectively work and communicate with a wide range of individuals from all socio-economic groups, including geriatric guests/residents and those with special needs. Communicate verbally and in writing to other staff members regarding housekeeping issues. Communicate with supervisor on a routine basis. Participate in training and/or meetings that help facilitate the departmental communication process.
