The Daily Inter Lake is seeking a detail-oriented News Clerk to support our newsroom operations. This position plays a key role in managing obituary submissions, maintaining community event calendars, and assisting with content management tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage obituary submissions with accuracy and sensitivity
- Curate and update local event calendars for print and digital platforms
- Assist with content organization and basic newsroom administrative tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to community members and contributors
- Ensure deadlines are met through strong organizational and time management skills
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with digital systems
Schedule & Compensation:
- 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Starting wage of $20 per hour
