We are looking for a skilled and talented Service Manager to join our Kalispell, Montana team.

Position Summary

The Service Department Manager is responsible for the business results for their assigned team and for the safety and supervision of service technicians who complete the repair and maintenance of mechanical comfort systems. Additionally, this role is responsible for coaching, counseling, and developing HVAC field technicians and apprentices as well as the financial performance of the department.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Availability from 0730 am to 5:00 pm M-F with flexibility for lunches. 
  • Must be willing to support the on-call technicians outside of normal working hours and on weekends as necessary.
  • Conducts assessments and rewards and disciplines employees as necessary
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
  • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills
  • Comply with and promote company Safety Policy
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extreme Ownership and Reliability
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
  • Strong understanding of modern leadership principles, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Technological proficiency to include Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis, using data to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven and adaptable to change.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and innovations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to pass full background screening and drug screening
  • Ability to pass MVR check
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects or training
