Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
3.5 Days per Week
Every Other Weekend Required
High Point Residence Kankakee is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team as we continue to grow our newly opened Memory Care expansion.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing senior living community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on care and daily support while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
Support residents during meals and provide feeding assistance as needed
Take and accurately record vital signs
Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility
Respond promptly and compassionately to resident call lights and requests
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team
Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments
Assist with linen changes and restocking resident care supplies
Work collaboratively with nurses, leadership, and other members of the care team
Follow resident care plans and direction provided by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor
Provide compassionate support tailored to the unique needs of residents living with memory loss
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current and valid Illinois CNA certification in good standing
Active status on the Illinois Department of Public Health Healthcare Worker Registry
High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds
Current CPR certification preferred
Recently expired CPR certifications are accepted, and recertification can be provided
