Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

High Point Residence – Kankakee
Kankakee, IL

Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • 3.5 Days per Week

  • Every Other Weekend Required

High Point Residence Kankakee is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team as we continue to grow our newly opened Memory Care expansion.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing senior living community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on care and daily support while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care

  • Support residents during meals and provide feeding assistance as needed

  • Take and accurately record vital signs

  • Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility

  • Respond promptly and compassionately to resident call lights and requests

  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team

  • Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments

  • Assist with linen changes and restocking resident care supplies

  • Work collaboratively with nurses, leadership, and other members of the care team

  • Follow resident care plans and direction provided by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor

  • Provide compassionate support tailored to the unique needs of residents living with memory loss

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Illinois CNA certification in good standing

  • Active status on the Illinois Department of Public Health Healthcare Worker Registry

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program

  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Current CPR certification preferred

    • Recently expired CPR certifications are accepted, and recertification can be provided
