St. Mary’s Hospital, a 182-bed acute care facility and proud member of Prime Healthcare – one of the nation’s largest and most award-winning health systems – is seeking a board-certified/eligible Pulmonologist to join our expanding pulmonary program. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, lung cancer, and sleep disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing interpretation, and thoracentesis.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including oncology, cardiology, and sleep medicine), and educate patients on disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and potential program development.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with board certification/eligibility in Pulmonary Disease.
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary fellowship.
  • Strong clinical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and critical care settings.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
  • Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $400,000 - $500,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
