This role contributes to Heartland Harvest, Inc’s success by maintaining quality and food safety through cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks as outlines in the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and designated by Quality Manager.
- Clean floors, walls, ceilings and moving stock with chemicals
- Adhere to safety and chemical standards
- Sanitation tasks include interior and exterior.
- Responsible for food safety by keeping facility areas clean.
- In absence, Quality Manager will delegate tasks
- Responsible for reporting food safety, food quality or plant safety issues.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Prior sanitation experience preferred
- Hear and follow verbal instructions
- Read, understand and follow verbal and written directions
- Should have good documentation skills.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Work Environments/Physical Demands
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell
- Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs
- Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration
- Exposed to high areas using scissor lift(s)
