Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

The Patient Registration Supervisor will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of patient registration services within the Clinical Services Division. This position is responsible for overseeing daily workflows, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service. The supervisor serves as a working leader, supporting both administrative and clerical functions, while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise daily operations of the Patient Registration team including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation of staff 
  • Monitor workflow and patient flow to maintain efficiency including coordination of daily staffing levels or assignments
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality 
  • Assist with resolution of complex registration issues and patient complaints
  • Serves as a working supervisor for the Patient Registration team
  • Serves as Customer Service Ambassador by providing excellent customer service to all patients/clients and visitors who enter the Cabarrus Health Alliance 

Education/Experience: 

  • Completion of high school or equivalent and 4 years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative/office management experience; or completion of a two-year business administration or related program and two years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative/office management experience 
  • Fluent in both written and oral English and Spanish required 
  • Supervisory experience preferred 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
  • Ability to follow and policies and procedures
  • Possess ability to to make arithmetical calculations, and to set up forms and statistical tables 
  • Accurately type at a reasonable rate of speed 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the general public
