About the Role:

The Master Material Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials required for manufacturing operations within the organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining master production schedules that align inventory levels with production demands, minimizing delays and excess stock. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs accurately and adjust plans based on real-time data and changing priorities. By optimizing inventory control and material availability, the Master Material Planner directly contributes to operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position ensures that manufacturing processes are supported with the right materials at the right time, enabling the company to meet its production goals consistently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with complex supply chains.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects or teams in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules to meet manufacturing demands and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Analyze production forecasts and historical data to anticipate material requirements accurately.

  • Generate reports on material usage, inventory status, and production schedules for management review.
  • Respond proactively to changes in production schedules or supply chain disruptions to minimize impact.
