Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64133 Full time schedule Monday – Friday (with overtime as needed) Comprehensive benefit package, including health, vision, and dental Company-paid life, short-term and long-term disability insurance 22 days of PTO earned your first year, 12 holidays plus 1 floating holiday per year   Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Diagnose and repair automotive/light and medium duty truck systems in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule. Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems to specifications, in a safe and timely manner. Meet or exceed the minimum efficiency ratings as required by eitas policy. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to other technicians, internal and external customers as needed. Install necessary accessories in vehicles as needed. Respond to service requests submitted by drivers regarding the general maintenance or condition of the vehicles. Keep management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Supply and maintain your own set of basic tools on site to utilize for work performed. Maintain current knowledge of new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology. Be available for emergency service in the event of an en-route vehicle breakdown. Maintain the condition of the shop area in a safe, clean and orderly fashion. Complete required paperwork on all in-house and outside services performed on each vehicle. Assist other mechanics in performing technical activities as needed. Be sensitive to the needs of our passengers. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsThe successful candidate will have: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five years of automotive/light and medium duty truck/van repair and diagnostic experience, including brake systems, primary and/or advanced fuel systems, ignition, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems, electrical systems, and proficiency in scan tool diagnostics, OR a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent and that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
