Bank Facilities & Security Manager, AVP

At nbkc our spaces matter, they’re where our people connect, collaborate, where our customers connect with us, and where our culture comes to life.

We’re looking for a Bank Facilities & Security Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day experience, maintenance, and evolution of our physical locations. This is an opportunity for an experienced facilities professional who enjoys everything from overseeing a major buildout to noticing the small things that make a workplace feel cared for.

This role is heavily focused on facilities management, with responsibility for supporting multiple locations and partnering closely with contractors, property managers, landlords, vendors, and internal teams. You’ll also oversee key components of our physical security program.

️ What You’ll Do

  • Own facilities operations across multiple nbkc locations, ensuring our spaces are safe, functional, well maintained, and ready for our teams and customers.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground point person for major facilities projects, including new locations, renovations, remodels, and after construction initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with general contractors, superintendents, property managers, landlords, and vendors to keep projects and maintenance work moving.
  • Regularly visit and inspect locations, identifying needs proactively rather than waiting for a maintenance request.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and standards across our locations.
  • Manage facilities requests through ServiceNow from initial request through completion, keeping stakeholders informed along the way.
  • Coordinate maintenance and project work around business operations to minimize disruption to employees and customers.
  • Manage facilities vendors, contracts, invoices, and budgets, including contract renewals and negotiations as appropriate.
  • Partner with internal teams on workplace improvements, branch projects, branding initiatives, events, and other facility needs.
  • Support setup and teardown for company events and jump in when hands-on help is needed.
  • Oversee physical security responsibilities including access badges, cameras, alarm response, security documentation, audits, annual training, and incident support.
  • Lead and support a direct report within the facilities function.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience managing facilities across multiple locations for an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing construction, renovation, relocation, or significant facilities projects.
  • Working knowledge of building systems and trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction, allowing you to communicate effectively with property management partners.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to keep multiple projects, requests, vendors, and priorities moving at once.
  • Comfort using technology and work management systems to organize, document, and track work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to keeping stakeholders informed, even when the answer is simply, “I’m on it, and here’s when you can expect an update,”
  • Sound judgement and the ability to recognize what you can solve independently and when an issue needs to be escalated or requires additional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining welcoming, functional, and well-maintained spaces.
  • A collaborative, approachable style paired with the confidence to hold vendors and contractors accountable.
  • Experience with physical security programs, access control, cameras, alarms, or related responsibilities.

⭐Bonus Points

  • You’ve managed facilities for a bank, financial institution, or another organization with a distributed branch or office network.
  • You’ve supported a major office move, new location buildout, or ground-up construction project.
  • You’ve worked closely with general contractors and construction superintendents and are comfortable spending time on site during active projects.
  • You’ve used the ServiceNow platform to manage facilities requests, work orders, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing facilities team members.
