Description

To serve Spurgeon College and the Cohort office by creating a welcoming and gracious environment for all prospective students, facilitate and oversee events, and aid in the academic and initiatives to enable Spurgeon College students to engage with the Christian Life and Worldview program and Cohort life.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Office management and recruiting event logistics.
  • Maintain and update any required budget data. 
  • Maintain and update required academic and institutional data. 
  • Assist in booking any necessary travel reservations, including but not limited to air travel, car rental, and hotel accommodations. 
  • Ensure that all necessary travel requests are processed and submitted in a timely manner. 
  • Assist with and ensure proper submission of any travel reimbursement requests, including reconciliation of the monthly Concur accounts. 
  • Maintain the inventory of a travel case for recruiting events. 
  • Ministry cohort recruitment and retention of students.
  • Maintain an up-to-date funnel of Ministry prospects, applicants, admits, and enrollees.  
  • Assemble and mail recruitment and enrollee information packets or packages.  
  • Assist the Director of the Ministry Cohort with communications including phone and email messages. 
  • Be prepared to respond to and effectively answer any questions regarding the Ministry Cohort and CLW program to potential students and their families. 
  • Manage group communications to incoming students. 
  • Manage group communications to current cohort students.
  • Keep the Director of the Ministry Cohort apprised of any important communications, issues, or concerns.  
  • Cohort event and logistics coordination alongside the Cohort Captains. 
  • Aid the department in helping schedule, plan, and execute all cohort related events. 
  • Aid in the assistance of communicating cohort events. 
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary for these events. 
  • Assist the Director of Ministry Cohort with website updates, social media posts, and other communications initiatives as related to these events. 
  • Assist the Director of the Ministry Cohort with the re-enrollment of current students.



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Including, but not limited to 

  • Christian with high integrity, currently pursuing a relationship with God.  
  • Minimum of two years in a bachelor’s program preferred.  
  • Friendly and winsome personality  
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.  
  • Basic knowledge of Canvas, Mailchimp, and Buffer preferred.  
  • Well written and well-spoken with professional nature both person to person and via phone/social medial contact.  
  • Able to plan and calendar long-range projects of a year or more, and able to systematically execute the plans developed.  
  • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department. 
  • Must take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision. 
  • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency. 
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Must possess a positive attitude. 
  • Must possess a desire and willingness to learn.  
  • Able to pass background screening, including driving record.  
  • Eligible to work in the United States  

WORKING CONDITIONS  

  • Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. 
  • Approximately 25, but no more than 29 hours per week. 
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required. 
  • Must be able to work varying shifts. 

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at a desk or computer station.  
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
