JOB TITLE: Community Living Clinical Director – Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA/LBA)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, oversight, and performance of all clinical services within the Community Living division. This role ensures that services are clinically sound, operationally integrated, data-driven, and aligned with BHA’s core values and regulatory requirements.
The Clinical Director is accountable for the quality, consistency, and outcomes of clinical programming, including the implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based interventions across all residential settings.
This role operates as both a clinical leader and operational partner, working in close collaboration with operations, nursing, and executive leadership to ensure that individuals served receive safe, effective, and meaningful supports that improve quality of life.
The Clinical Director is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing clinical team, ensuring fidelity of implementation, and driving continuous improvement through data, training, and accountability systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or related fieldÂ
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker requiredÂ
• Active state licensure (MO and/or KS as applicable)Â
• Minimum 5 years ABA experience, with at least 3 years in leadershipÂ
• Experience in residential or intensive behavioral settings preferredÂ
• Completion of BACB 8-hour supervision trainingÂ

CLINICAL OPERATIONS & OVERSIGHT
• Oversee development, implementation, and monitoring of all BSPs, ISPs, and clinical programmingÂ
• Ensure fidelity of ABA-based interventions across all homesÂ
• Monitor clinical outcomes and adjust programming based on dataÂ
• Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, and documentationÂ
• Lead response and review of clinical incidents and behavioral escalationsÂ
• Participate in on-call rotation for crisis supportÂ
QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE
• Develop and implement clinical quality assurance systemsÂ
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standardsÂ
• Monitor key clinical performance indicators and outcomesÂ
• Identify trends and implement corrective actionsÂ
• Ensure readiness for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviewsÂ
STAFF DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING
• Supervise and mentor clinical team membersÂ
• Ensure supervision requirements (BACB/licensure) are metÂ
• Develop and implement training programs for clinical and direct care staffÂ
• Evaluate staff performance and provide ongoing coachingÂ
• Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and growthÂ
FINANCIAL & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• Ensure efficient use of clinical resources and staffingÂ
• Monitor utilization, productivity, and service delivery metricsÂ
• Collaborate with finance and billing teams to ensure accuracy and complianceÂ
• Support cost-effective service delivery without compromising qualityÂ
FAMILY & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
• Serve as clinical point of contact for families and stakeholdersÂ
• Participate in intake and admission decisionsÂ
• Collaborate with external providers, agencies, and partnersÂ
• Advocate for individuals served and ensure appropriate services
On-Call & 24/7 LeadershipÂ
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide decisive leadership during crises.Â
• Ensure Program Managers understand escalation protocols and expectations.Â
• Serve as a calm, directive presence during high-pressure situations.
ACCOUNTABILITY & IMPACT
The Clinical Director is directly accountable for the quality, consistency, and outcomes of all clinical services within Community Living.
This role is responsible for ensuring:

OTHER DUTIES
• Participate in organizational initiatives and strategic planningÂ
• Support development of systems, tools, and processesÂ
• Conduct staff training, supervision, and performance evaluations as assigned.
• Participate in on-call rotations for behavioral crisis response.
• Complete all documentation, billing, and reporting requirements in accordance with BHA and regulatory guidelines

Starting Salary: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $94, 610.03 annually, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications.
