This position will play a key role in leading the picking, packing, planning, and order processing within the Distribution Centers first shift. The ideal candidate will understand best practices to successfully reach department and company goals.
Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for the coordination and management of the Distribution Center’s nightly operations
- Manage and oversee all nightly picking, packing and shipping procedures
- Provide consistent, transparent, in-the-moment coaching, and actionable feedback to the team to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Partners with management team to sustain workplace health and safety requirements according to OSHA regulations and the Company safety
- Directly manages employees in the Distribution Center’s second
- Ensures workflow and processes are to maximum efficiencies for business necessity
- Lead, guide and coach team to accomplish common goals
- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
- Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
- Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
- Adheres to local, state and federal laws
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management
- Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years prior Distribution Center experience preferred
- At least 3 years in leadership/supervisory role
- Knowledge of HighJump, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF application a plus
- Understands and complies with OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of UPS World Ship software among other shipping systems such as LTL, TL, etc...
- Ability to coach and develop employees in performing job duties to department and company expectations
- Ability to operate DC equipment such as but not limited to forklift, pallet jack, order picker, reach truck.
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel etc.
- Knowledge working with POS system – Epicor NSB a plus
- Must be able to multitask in fast pace environment
