Position Description: 

Title: Director of Engine Programs 

Status: Full Time 

Department: Commercial Operations Leadership

Summary:

The Director, Sales directs and oversees the sales policies, objectives, and initiatives for JMI. Additionally, the role sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs. Also, the job recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential, manages the sales team and creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sales team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

  • Negotiation
  • Aircraft parts trading/purchasing
  • Project management
  • Professional communication
  • Microsoft Office 
  • Vendor Management 
  • A high-energy personality and desire to learn and grow quickly
  • Strong analytical skills and are detail-oriented
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, and general office technology
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealings with outside vendors, coworkers, and clients
  • Professional, polished communication skills – oral and written
  • Knowledge of Quantum Software is helpful
  • Regular interaction and coordination with team members at all levels of our supply chain   
  • Entrepreneurial, challenging, competitive, flexible, fast-paced, and fun  
  • Collaborative and growth-minded   

Education & Experience:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in market research of financial analysis
  • Have ability to problem solve and work cohesively within a team
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience within the aviation spare parts industry
  • Have ability to build mathematical model using statistical methods
  • Have experience with illustrated parts catalogues and maintenance/component manuals
  • Love efficiency and can help build improvements in processes
  • Dream about airplanes 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the responsibilities of the Director, Engine Programs, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, the majority of your workday. Less than 5% of your job duties will require the ability to: walk long distances, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The noise level is usually low, as consistent with an office environment. At times, some light lifting may be required, up to 25 lbs. These job duties are performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
