The Receipting Department processes all donations for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The position will be responsible for the maintenance and running processes in the FCA donor database and preparing daily deposits for posting and transmission to FCAs bank daily. Serving donors and staff by responding to phone calls and e-mail in a timely manner will be a priority.

 

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help with daily processes within the donor database to maintain donor records, process donation batches, post data to the donor database, and transmit the daily deposit to the bank.
  • Maintain the AMP (Automatic Monthly Partner) by updating donor information when requested by phone or email and adding new donations.
  • Fulfill requests for tax receipts and other miscellaneous documentation for donations.
  • Complete the daily closeout. Assist in the daily reconciliation of all donation gifts and their deposit into the bank.
  • Respond to donors and staff with questions and requests by phone, email, and through FCA's ticket system.
  • Assist with mail opening of donation income three times per week.
  • Enter donations into FCA donor database received by ACH and stock.
  • Stay up to date with processes and procedures within the Receipting department.

COMPETENCIES

  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects.
  • Reliable technology and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software programs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience or general knowledge of bank depository functions and accounting processes is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent with some college or certified training preferred but not required.
