ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install new electronic equipment and systems and assemble components using hand tools

  • Perform routine maintenance and diagnose and repair electronic systems and equipment. This includes replacing parts and aligning components

  • Troubleshoot complex electronic issues by analyzing symptoms and identifying problems

  • Test existing equipment to identify problems, calibrate sensors, and ensure systems meet quality standards

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Maintain logs of equipment performance, document system changes, and generate reports on work performed

  •  Work with engineers and other technicians and may provide technical assistance to customers or other departments. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required;

  • Degree in Electronics Tech preferred, OR 2 years work experience industrial electronics

  • Strong understanding of electronic theory, components, and systems. 

  • Proficiency hand tools and soldering irons to work on small circuitry

  • Ability to use a variety of test equipment, such as amp meters and multimeters

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors

  • Skilled in reading and understanding technical documentation, blueprints, and schematics
     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 

  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequent exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
