Financial Reconciliations Specialist

Locations: Kansas City, MO (hybrid)

About the Role 

This person will reconcile trade activity and research discrepancies. Must be willing to work on site at least 6 days/month and the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM Central Time

How You Will Make an Impact   

• Responsible for reconciliation, entering/releasing wires in various banking systems and other team functions

• Quality control of incoming wires

• Will be escalation point for more complex functions

• Follows workflow priorities and ensures all processing standards and client needs are met

• Performs quality checks by auditing work performed

• Develops and implements process improvements

• Documents processes and procedure

• Trains and guides associates within direct team by sharing job knowledge and best practices

Required Experience  

• Highschool diploma, or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience

• Must have 2+ years' experience in financial services, banking, reconciliation, accounting etc.

• Excel proficiency.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. 

• Attention to detail and ability to trace problems to their source and see resolution through to completion. 

• Must have strong time management skills and be able to meet deadlines

• Successful colleagues are self-motivated, take ownership of issues, recommend solutions, and appropriately apply relevant procedures.
