2B Residential, a market leader in multi-family management, is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our team at Timber Lakes at Red Bridge in Kansas City, MO near 435 & Holmes.

We are seeking a seasoned leasing professional with a proven ability to drive occupancy, deliver exceptional resident experiences, and build strong relationships with prospects and residents. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of Fair Housing regulations, demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism, and thrives in a results-oriented environment.

Pay Range: Starting at $21.00 and up to $25.00 dollars per hour + Bonus Commissions (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time position - Weekend availability required

What You'll Do

As a Leasing Consultant, you'll play a key role in achieving occupancy goals while delivering an exceptional experience to prospective and current residents.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Greet residents and host tours for prospects, follow up of guest cards
  • Ensure model apartments are in touring condition, ensuring cleanliness, safety and stocking move-in gifts and snacks accordingly
  • Answer and distribute incoming calls and messages throughout day
  • Receive and distribute all incoming mail
  • Occasionally assist with planning, and hosting after hours resident events
  • Assist in preparation of move-in folders, and maintain business center, coffee bar and pet bar
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity by entering applicable information into Yardi
  • Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments with prospective residents in order to tour the community
  • Ensure excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants, and promote a quality living experience for all residents
  • Inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins and ensure apartments are in move-in condition by coordinating move-in/out needs and schedules with maintenance team
  • Create and maintain confidential resident files, which includes reviewing move-in paperwork with new residents
  • Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily
  • Assist with ongoing resident relations throughout occupant’s tenancy by ensuring occupant’s requests are responded to promptly and accurately
  • Responsible for shopping competitive properties, and pursuing marketing opportunities with downtown business
  • Assist with processing work order requests for residents and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Occasionally assist with planning and hosting after hours resident events
  • Participate in company provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
  • Comply with all company standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of multifamily leasing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices
  • Residential leasing experience and Yardi experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service mindset
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required
