Litigation Paralegal - Complex Personal Injury

Location: In office: 2345 Grand Blvd. #675 Kansas City, MO 64108

Job Summary: Brown & Crouppen has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal to work in conjunction with an attorney to effectively manage high volume, top-tiered cases while providing excellent support to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Ordering and reviewing police reports, supplemental reports, medical records, insurance policies, etc.
• Investigation using Westlaw, REJIS, social media, etc.
• Preparing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, affidavits, medical chronologies, and other litigation support documents.
• Managing attorney’s calendar and court deadlines
• Preparation of settlement distributions and allocations
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in personal injury preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Required Education:

• Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
