Heavy Machine Operator – Excavator Operator (2nd Shift)

We are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator for a heavy industrial recycling facility. This role focuses on safely and efficiently operating equipment to support wire shredding and material processing operations.

Pay & Schedule
Pay Range: $25 – $28 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift   -    Schedule: Monday – Saturday
Hours: 4:00 PM – 4:15 AM

Experience required

• Experience operating excavators, forklifts, or skid steers
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow safety procedures and adapt to changing conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Ability to identify and sort ferrous and non-ferrous materials

• Operate excavator to feed wire shredder
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment (blade changes, clean-outs, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety policies and attend safety meetings
• Meet production goals for sorting, loading, and shredding
• Maintain quality control of finished materials
• Support maintenance of equipment (excavators, forklifts, skid steers, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, twisting, and overhead work
• Requires PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
• Work may involve uneven surfaces and elevated areas
