Machine Operator – Wire Recycling Production Line

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our wire recycling production team. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and plays a key role in achieving company goals related to safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Set up machines for production (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
Operate and maintain wire processing equipment efficiently
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain attention to detail in all operations
Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
Meet production goals (chop rates, changeover times, etc.)
Attend required training and safety meetings
Perform basic equipment maintenance
Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous machine operator experience preferred
Familiarity with PLC/computerized equipment controls
Manufacturing experience
Forklift experience required
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools

Working Conditions:
This position operates in a heavy industrial environment. Duties may include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in a loud setting. Required PPE includes safety glasses, vest, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and working on uneven surfaces may be required.
