Market Manager

Help shape the quality of commercial landscapes across your market.

Exterity is looking for an experienced landscape professional who knows what great service looks like — and knows how to help others deliver it consistently.

As a Market Manager, you’ll be Exterity’s eyes and ears in the field. You’ll visit client properties throughout your assigned market, evaluate landscape conditions and service quality, work directly with our service partners to address issues, and help ensure every property reflects the standards our clients expect.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands commercial landscaping, enjoys being out in the field, and takes pride in seeing problems through from identification to resolution.

What You’ll Do

Own Service Quality in Your Market

  • Regularly visit client properties to evaluate landscape conditions and service quality.

  • Ensure work is being completed according to scope and Exterity standards.

  • Identify service deficiencies, risks, and opportunities to improve property appearance and performance.

  • Communicate corrective actions clearly and follow through to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Document property conditions, service performance, and next steps.

Build Strong Service Partner Relationships

  • Serve as the primary field resource for service partner quality and accountability.

  • Build productive relationships while maintaining clear performance expectations.

  • Provide feedback and coaching that helps improve service consistency.

  • Help identify and qualify replacement service partners when service disruptions or ongoing performance issues occur.

  • Partner with internal teams to support successful onboarding and transitions.

Create a Strong Client Experience

  • Build client confidence through responsiveness, professionalism, and landscape expertise.

  • Proactively address service concerns and ensure commitments are followed through.

  • Clearly communicate property conditions, service issues, and resolution plans.

  • Help strengthen client retention by driving consistent service and property quality.

Spot Opportunities for Improvement

  • Identify enhancement opportunities and changing property needs.

  • Partner with Account Managers on recommendations that improve property performance and appearance.

  • Share recurring service trends, market insights, and quality concerns with leadership.

  • Help continuously improve how Exterity delivers service across the market.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial landscaping, landscape operations, horticulture, turf management, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices and quality standards.

  • The ability to evaluate turf, plant health, irrigation performance, pruning quality, seasonal color, and overall property presentation.

  • Confidence identifying service issues and recommending practical solutions.

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

  • A high level of organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

  • Sound judgment, ownership, and consistent follow-through.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Experience managing service across multiple properties or working with subcontractors, vendors, or service partners is a plus.

What to Expect

This is a field-focused role with regular travel throughout your assigned territory and frequent property visits and inspections. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.

Why This Role Matters

Our clients rely on us to deliver a consistent experience across every property. As Market Manager, you play a direct role in making that happen.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your landscape expertise, build strong local relationships, solve real service challenges, and make a visible impact on the quality of the properties and partnerships you support.
