SUMMARY
 
Experienced Industrial Maintenance technician supporting high-speed can packaging operations on night shift. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving highly automated packaging equipment including fillers, seamers, conveyors, cartoners, case packers, and palletizers. This employee is a multi-craft industrial technician with strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills, capable of working independently in a fast-paced production environment. They play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring equipment reliability. This role will be responsible for the evening shift.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-speed packaging equipment including but not limited to: Krones Fillers, Ferrum Seamers, Palletizers and De-Palletizers, laser coding equipment, 3phase electrical motors and so on.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment
  • Support PLC programs, HMI interfaces, VFD Controllers and servo equipment as needed
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on packaging equipment
  • Respond to line downtime events quickly and effectively to restore production
  • Identify root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, startups and shutdowns
  • Maintain and improve line efficiency, uptime, and OE Performance
  • Document maintenance work, downtime causes, and corrective actions in CMMS
  • Work closely with production operators and supervisors to support efficient operations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support installation, commissioning new equipment, and overhauling existing equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and company policies

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skill (480V 3ph, Control circuits..)
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automated equipment controls
  • Familiarity with servo motors, VFD controlled motors and pumps
  • Experience in a high-speed packaging environment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Experience using a CMMS system
  • Ability to work independently on night shift with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments such as Lab, Brewing, Operations, and Warehousing
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, or related field
  • Experience in brewery, beverage, or food manufacturing 
  • Knowledge of CMMS and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Experience in Industrial Automation and PLC Control Programming
