Description

At Wilson-McShane, we administer benefits for hardworking individuals in various trade unions. As a Participant Services Specialist, you will have the opportunity to directly assist these individuals by answering their benefit and eligibility questions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in our mail correspondence and document review process. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Answers high volume telephone calls from participants and provide explanations and answers related to coverage eligibility and pension benefits.
  • Answers questions regarding self-payments including COBRA and Retiree self pays.
  • Reviews required eligibility information including legal documents, enrollment forms, coordination of benefits forms, and benefit applications.
  • Mails correspondence to Participants.
  • Provides assistance with incoming and returned mail.
  • Prepare documents for mailing projects and scanning.
  • Performs quality review files.
  • Assists with related special projects as required  

The schedule for this role is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with a 1-hour lunch. This is a non-exempt position with compensation at $28.80 per hour and includes benefits such as the following:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Summary Plan Description and procedure manuals.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office. Quick learner of other computer applications.  
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
