Job DetailsJob Location: Kansas City KS Office - KANSAS CITY, KS 66102Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.43 - $22.12 HourlyWe are seeking a Placement Finding Specialist to join our team.  Hourly Range: $20.43 - $22.12 (Hourly) We are seeking a Placement Finding Specialist to join our team.  Your role will be responsible for identifying and securing stable, safe, and appropriate placements that are in the best interest of each youth. This includes building and maintaining positive relationships with Child Placing Agencies (CPAs), facilities, and community partners to expand placement options. You will accurately enter and maintain placement data in the required systems. You will communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure the needs of youth are understood and met, monitor placement availability, and follow up on placement status to ensure continuity and stability. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Manager of Placement Finding. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Provides ongoing and consistent communication with the manager and team members within the unit. Understand the initial referrals of the child clearly to help determine best placement. Respect the children and family’s culture and provide culturally sensitive services. Assist with Avatar and CareMatch updates and assistance with reconciliation. Understand the process of payments, CPT/Billing codes and placement provider types. Be accessible via cell phone to placement providers, DCF staff, and other Cornerstones of Care team leaders and members. WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the child welfare arena and the following: Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services related field is required. At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
