Overview

Stryten Energy is currently recruiting for a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Group at our Kansas City, Kansas location.  You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, machine setup, troubleshooting, improvements, and repairs.
 

Pay: $31.52 per hour

 

Hours: 5 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday, some Saturdays

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled comprehensive preventative maintenance on all plant-wide machinery.
  • Work in a team environment to accomplish preventative maintenance projects.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health, and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
  • Position requires handling scrap materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as hazardous waste.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pass maintenance assessment
  • An AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance is a plus
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial skills
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds consistently
