Qualifications

Three to five years of maintenance experience in various fields, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.  Must be 18 or older and possess a valid state driver's license and proof of insurance.  Must be available to travel within a 4-hour radius and answer infrequent emergency calls after hours and on weekends. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to after-hour emergencies as needed.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring timely and high-quality work.
  • Monitor and triage maintenance requests to ensure the safety and smooth operation of agency programs and locations.
  • Identify and communicate any needed preventative maintenance and assist in prioritizing and budgeting for PM.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies while promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Travel to a variety of agency sites to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to agency staff and ensure their needs are met and progress or delays are communicated.
  • Work with and facilitate the use of external contractors to complete projects.
  • Oversee inventory management of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced repairs and facility upgrades.
  • Other duties as assigned.
