Position Description: 

Title: Safety Coordinator

Summary: 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

Safety Program Coordinator

  • JMI Safety Program Leader
  • Safety management System 
  • Employee Coaching/Training - Curriculum Development 
  • Safety Management System
  • Training system tracking
  • Initial, Annual, Refresher, Specialized 
  • Safety Incident and Injury Tracking 
  • Incident Investigation – Root cause analysis 
  • Preventative approach 
  • Employee coaching
  • Safety Policy Audit 
  • Routine Safety Inspections

Education & Experience: 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Takes initiative and is self-motivating
  • Significant ability to multi-task
  • Cal OSHA experience a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

  • Walk, kneel and climb ladders 
  • Carry 50lbs
